The Admission register is used to record all the data that belong to a patient during
his stay in the unit:
- Administration (such as ICK admission number, HIS number, date of admission and
discharge, status)
- Address, insurance and GP
- Admission data (such as origin, admission diagnosis, medical discipline)
- Discharge data (such discharge diagnoses, short history of hospitalisation of patient)
The exact set of data covered in the admission registry depends on the type of
intensive care unit (neonatal, pediatric or adult). Each admission is automatically
labelled with a unique admission number. Admission data of patients can be searched for in
several ways (name, date of admission, Hospital Information System ID).
Besides recording information of patients that were admitted to the unit it is also
possible to enter patients that had to be refused.
Below four examples are shown of the neonatal admission register. |
