CLICK - collecting data

Issue

Simple or complex

Not every intensive care is ready or prepared to commit itself to the investment in time and money to atomize the care process itself (see for example this dutch newsclip). Nevertheless, many ICU’s feel the need to get constructive insight in their performance. tipthumb.gif (2472 bytes)

Collect with CLICK

In The Netherlands ICU’s have initialized centralized databases that collect basic information from associated ICU’s. They defined relatively simple datasets that must be collected by all participants. Currently three sets are defined: for neonatal intensive cares (LNR), for pediatric intensive cares (PICE) and general intensive cares (NICE).

CLICK was developed to support ICU’s in collecting the data needed for these datasets with little overhead. CLICK provides a simple and cost-effective entry point for atomizing the intensive care.

Deliverable

and get the feedback

Besides delivering the ICU data to the central database, CLICK also provides overviews of the local data and comparisons with averages in the central database.

Thus CLICK delivers valuable insight in the performance of the ICU and marks possible improvements.
