Why physiology? |
| Interest in physiology originates from either scientific or clinical objectives. In research, emphasis is on flexibility, accessibility and speed. In the clinic, relevance, ease of use and reliability are of prime importance. In intensive care units, there is an on-going debate about the necessity and clinical relevance of physiological data in addition to the functionality of patient monitoring devices. We do believe that a complete physiological record is indispensible for a modern intensive care unit. We also believe that most of the data in the physiological record will prove to be of no clinical relevance and should be discarded whenever this proves to be the case. |
Products |
| Inspektor has developed two products for physiological data-acquisition and analysis. POLY was developed as a platform for scientific research. Transistor is designed to make physiology available in intensive cares and operating theaters in a clinical relevant way. |
Benefits |
| POLY provides flexible data-acquisition, complete accessibility to the physiological
data and unparalleled acquisition and real-time processing power. Because many of our
customers do their research within a clinical setting, POLY supports the development of
dedicated applications that can be integrated in daily clinical care. Transistor provides a flight recorder for physiology: all physiological data in a unit are automatically recorded, analysed and condensed. Raw physiological data are automatically discarded when no longer needed. Transistor supports configurable acquisition and analysis, a physiological server and de-centralized, standardized access to physiology. |
